Until now, users who have been able to use their Blackberry handheld devices to connect to the internet haven't been able to share that internet connection with their laptops wirelessly. To date, users have been forced to awkwardly tether their laptop and Blackberry together with a USB cable, even while sitting in airport terminals or onsite with customers.
To address this problem, Brain Murmurs has created Pulse, a Bluetooth application for the RIM Blackberry that allows the device to be used as a dialup networking modem.
Like other mobile apps such as Verichat, Pulse uses a proxy server. The proxy server will be open source and will be downloadable from the Brain Murmurs, Inc. website. Users that are not interested in providing their own proxy service can subscribe to an extremely low cost proxy service through our exclusive partners at Austin Web Development.
Convenient - Access the internet with your Blackberry in your coat pocket, purse, or briefcase. It is no longer necessary to find table (or lap) space for your tethered Blackberry
Inconspicuous - Discretely connect to the internet and tend to business during meetings or conferences.
Mac Compatible - At long last, Mac users (including us) can use our BlackBerrys for dialup networking. Hurrah!
Built-in VPN support - Remotely access resources on your network by installing the free Pulse Proxy server* on your home or corporate LAN. Upload documents to your file server, retrieve files from your desktop, or print out a document from home.
